The ‘JK Starley Bicycle Campaign’ (JKSB) celebrates John Kemp Starley’s 1885 development of the Rover Safety Bicycle, a vital stage in the evolution of the bicycle.
J.K.’s innovative design transformed a pastime for the few into a vital means of personal transportation for the many. The 1885 Rover Safety Bicycle has helped improve the social, health and economic lives of millions of people worldwide.

Imagineer Productions and Imagineer Technologies have designed an interactive and contemporary public art installation for the City of Coventry, UK.
Imagineer's proposed art installation traces bicycle evolution from the Draisine (Germany) to the Vélocipède à pédale (France), and from the Grand-bi/ High Wheeler (France/UK) to the Rover Safety Bicycle. The installation will importantly also promote contemporary and innovative bicycle technologies and projects from around the world. See the design and find out more
