BIKE INITIATIVES - UGANDA
ARUWE Uganda Action for Rural Women’s Empowerment. Wheels4life supported ARUWE’s Village Health Teams (VHTs) in Mulagi Sub County, Kyankwanzi district with bicycles.
Kampala Cycling Club open to anyone with any interest in cycling as long as they abide the rules of club: children must commit to staying in education, help clean and fix the bikes; adults must volunteer at one of their schools. They also run a bike messenger service and offers guided cycle tours of Kampala.
UST-Network - Uganda Sustainable Transport Network is a non-governmental organization whose prime focus is to promote the use of environmentally friendly and efficient means of transport in order to advance social and economic development in Uganda. Projects include 'Cycle for Health and Fun club', and 'Car Free Days'.
