BIKE INITIATIVES - CHINA
Hangzhou Public Bicycle bicycle sharing system. As of January 2013, with 66,500 bicycles operating from 2,700 stations, it is the largest bike sharing system in the world, and is one of 19 currently operating bike-sharing systems in China. It is also the first bike sharing system in CHina dn plans to expand to 175,000 bikes by 2020. The Hangzhou government invested 180 million yuan (€23.5 million) to launch the program, and 270 million yuan (€35.3 million) in discounted loans (source wiki).
